Well, I learned what Sarah prays for at Vacation bible school

Sarah was over my parents most of yesterday, as we both had to work. Her Uncle Joe was home, so she had my parents and her 3 uncles to play with all day.

So, as the day progressed, my parents asked Sarah, what did you do at vacation bible school? And as she told them, they asked her did she pray, and she said yes. And they asked her to show her.

So the little girl folder her hands, bowed her little head, and said:

"Dear God, I want to go home now, I'm done here. Amen."

Oh my god, the damnest things come out of her mouth.

yes she does, and thats just my side of the family.

I think it was VBS, because she never really wants to leave grandma's when everyone's over....

Awesome. I always wished I was part of a big family like that. I always wanted a lot of brothers, but from what I hear, I had a less brutal upbringing with sisters.

If you notice weird changes on my blog, just pretend like you didn't. It's just been an uuuuuugggggggggggggggggh! kind of thing. Nothing personal.

And if you really do think it's more fun for me to blame you, it's all your fault. Happy, happy, happy! Did you like that? Hope so.

I'm still pondering the sun and wind analogy. Is that story about not forcing things? I know the sun was successful warming up the guy and the wind couldn't blow his coat off him. I can't remember, but I think I'm too brain dead to make the connection. Obviously the moral isn't to be yourself because that's what the wind was doing and it wasn't working for him. Totally clueless. I need the Cliff Notes version that explains the reference to Job or me or whatever.

Less brutal? Depends.....I'll put it like my father always does about boys and girls:

Goys gotta wrestle, girls gotta talk.

Boys will roll around on the ground, but when its over, its over. Girls on the other hand.....will talk and talk and I'm not sure anything gets done "cindy did x to me, I cant believe shes such a snot" or whatever......its like its never over.

As for the wind and sun, I'll discuss it there....

That's so true. Girls can be so much more brutal emotionally. There's been many times I think I would have rather been punched.

Thats how it always is blessed. yOU gals with gossip and get vicious about it, and it goes on and on. We boys just pound each other and its over...

Boys gotta wrestle, girls gotta talk. It is the way it is.

I have to speak the truth here. I used to think it was true that girls were worse with the pettiness and gossip until I've endured years of hearing what goes on at my husband's work--no matter where it's been. Those guys are such back stabbers and can't wait to gossip. I'm always amazed at the stories he comes home with b/c he doesn't join in no matter how hard the guys try.

Also, when I was teaching, I stuck to my own classroom. I didn't eat in the teacher's lounge or go hang out in other teachers' rooms during breaks. I had more male teachers dropping by to vent than females.

That's my experience with it. Not to negate how mean women can be. Maybe it's just human nature and not gender related.

wow blessed.

I have only run across a few men that are gossipy and of the back stabbing variety. I have found that it's mostly chicks.

It for this very reason I tend to get along better with men than with women.

There are a few women that I get on well with, don't get me wrong. But as a whole, women, I have found, are a bunch of catty backstabbin little bitches (excuse me) and I generally want to slap them.

Kim, what are your thoughts here?

I'm going to have to agree with the Nickster. Women are, for the most part, cuntly. I get along with men better, too....BUT the women friends I DO have are irreplacable.

On topic: Carm, when ARE you going to send that child to the country so I can add my two cents to her psyche? I have a feeling we would get along like peas and carrots (except more tastey).

I dont know. She's not old enough yet.

But when are you sending some of your brood here so I can train them in snarkful to a higher level?

*grin*

True. Like I said, I won't put it past women to be awful. I think that's why I'd rather cling to my lifelong friends than make new ones.
