Is common curtsey too much to ask?

I mean really. Is curtsey too much to ask these days?

I know she's closing her school, and its a bit of a traumatic thing in her life, but is it really too much to ask to be called to say "Sorry dance class is canceled today due to illness."???

I mean, if you have the time to put a sign on the door, wouldn't picking up the phone and calling the 7 or so students in the Saturday class....And say double it since the Thursday and Saturday class are combined?

Driving all that way with an excited 3 year old, only to have to tell her class is canceled because her teacher is sick......And especially considering there is no make ups.....

That would be frustrating!! Some people just don't get it. It is courtesy and the RIGHT thing to do.

This KIND OF happened one year in a tanning salon. They just would go home and have like 2 more hours posted that they were suppose to be open. I finally brought it up to them after a few times and they had the GALL to say that emergencies come up and deal with it. I'm sorry, but I am a paying customer and if emergencies are coming up every other day, that might mean that you need to re-evaluate you life. Ya know. I ended up just not going back I was so mad. I can understand that it would be hard to explain all that to a 3 year old that though.

Yeah, but a chocolate donut on the way home cures everything to a three year old.....that and some plastic horses....

Its just that, you know she's closing. You know there is no make up dates....come on...I know she wants to reopen, but at this rate, I'm not sure I'd be back...

yeah that bites...I am really happy with the karate club we are at....we have received 2 calls so far since joining that club...to say that ..the sensei would be unable to do my sons class etc...I love that they care enough to call us at home and save us a ride in to the club...

you aren't asking too much at all....If they want to re-open you might help them with that piece of advice it goes along way with paying parents....

I am so happy with this karate school.

You're lucky there quinn. Now granted she could have been vomiting in the bathroom sick for all I know......but on a Saturady, I dont think its too much to ask to call....

I'll see what she says next week...were in the last 4 classes...

Yeah, once you have a good school, karate or otherwise...you want to hold onto them. I know how that is.
