Little monster

Whoever said boys and girls are different wasnt kidding. Christopher is a little monster.

His temperment is WAY different from sarah's. She was fairly even tempered. Christopher? Has a temper. From teh day he was born the nurses said he has a temper and he shows it. He misses his mommy....when she's gone for a bit and comes home? Screams and cries the moment he sees her till Kim picks him up.

Doesnt like something? Lets it be known. Loudly.

He's now mobile. But only on his terms. He HATES his stomach. So he lies on his back, arches his body with his stomach in the air and shoves his feet and scoots.

And today? Sarah wouldnt listen so she went to time out....and she's crying and whining in time out and we're ignoring her. Except Christopher. Who is LAUGHING at her. You can clearly see thats what he's doing....

He's a monster.

Give me a kid with spunk any day mate... Christopher sounds like my sort of kid. And our Brylee 'crawled' like that too... like a little caterpillar on her back and head... it looked awful and it actually impeded her development cos she NEVER stayed on her tummy, so her neck and head did not learn to balance properly.... so as a consequence she did not walk till she was 20 month old, nor could she roll from her back to her front till she was 14 months old! Just a wee warning to keep an eye on him mate. Babied MUST spend time on their tummy's to develop 'correctly'.... tell me to shut up now! I know saying it and getting him to do it will be near impossible! Try wedging him with cushions so he can't roll off his tummy.. he will get so bloody mad he will work it out and get up on his hands and knees eventually!

Sarah never liked tummy time either, she was never on her belly, she walked at exactly a year old. Christopher can roll from back to belly now too, he holds his head up fine when sitting, and he can hold his head up if he is in our arms or on those few occasions where he stays on his belly for more than 2 seconds...he was just at teh dr. on friday and he said everything is on track. SO hopefully he will be fine.

Morgan hated being on her belly. She'd flop around like a fish out of water until we either flipped her over or she learned to roll.

Imagine what he'll be like in 10 years if Sarah's being punished!!

um, yeah. Right there with you. My boy, too. Total energy all the time and he certainly has busted out the temper tantrum wings. I'm kind of hoping to have a girl next time around. They do seem a wee bit mellower. Until the teenage years...then I'll be scared!!

Monsters indeed. Sounds exactly like Stephan when he was a baby. That boy has a pair of lungs on him.
