Finally!

The fat little pig finally rolled over yesterday, while both daddy and mommy watched inthe morning. He was on his stomach(which he hates) and rolled himself onto his back. We put him back and he did it again! Now he does it all the time as a game....but dont cheer him, because it scares him....

Little Christopher's first word

Was spoken today at teh supermarket and folks around him clearly heard:

Or rather two somethings precious......

Had a scare the other day.

Had a scare at walmart today. Family shopping trip.


You know shopping carts? There the frame with wheels, then the cart itself thats attacked to the wheel frame.


Well....christopher was in his car seat in the seat part, just sitting in his carseat unstrapped.....and the metal bars holding the cart part in the rear gave way....causing the back of teh cart to collapse.



Luckily mommy was there to keep christopher ok, plus the pack of paper towels underneath prevented it from coming all the way out. Otherwise....dump the baby out.


One assossiate came out almost immediately....apparantly the caught it on camera.....

I really, really, really hate Target.

I know, I know., Some of you absolutely LOVE Target. Hell some of you wont even move because your so close to Target that its 180 seconds away.

BUT, I must have the Ghetto Target or something, or the rejected one. Because I get nothing but problems at mine. Seriously, my wife sent me out for ink for the printed, and Walmart didn't have it they were out, so I decided to go to Target against my better judgement rather than the supply store.....and what happens you ask?

I get "mugged" in the parking lot by a religious type and preached to and try to converted! Seriously, I get to my car and he is in the next car sitting there, like he's stalking people, and gets out as I unlock the door and starts with "I know you weren't expecting this..."

Of course not! Who expects to get preached to in a Target parking lot!

I do NOT have these problems at Walmart, let me tell you.....

I SO hate Target.

I really, really, really hate Target.

And so we quietly let the new year in this year....I cooked up a nice meal for the mrs, a nice shrimp pasta recipe that is REAL simple, just prep takes a bit longer than the actual cooking.

3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
12 oz. Shrimp - Cleaned & Deveined
2 Garlic Cloves - Finely Chopped
1/3 Cup Brandy
4 Cups Canned Tomatoes - Chopped
2-3 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
1 Pound of Spaghetti
1 Small Bunch of Fresh Parsley - Finely Chopped
Salt & Pepper -
To Taste Dash of Red Pepper Flakes

Heat oil in heavy skillet over medium heat. Put pasta on to cook while doing this. Add shrimp and cook 1-2 minutes until pink, then remove into a separate dish. Add garlic & stir once or twice. Next, add the brandy and cook till reduced by half. Add tomatoes, salt & pepper & red pepper flakes, and cook uncovered over medium heat 5-6 minutes. Stir in the cream, lower heat & mix in shrimp just until just heated through. Mix shrimp sauce with cooked pasta, and serve with parsley sprinkled over top.


Simple and easy. I had to stop and buy a bottle of brandy....and picked up a bottle of red wine. Then a nice quiet evening....then to bed early.....
