Daddy, what does this word mean?
So sarah comes up to me now, and askes: "daddy , what does Fuck mean?"
"Excuse me darling, what was the word?"
"fuck"
"Come with me." We walk over to mommy.
"tell mommy the word."
Repeats.
"Now honey, where did you hear that word?"
"Grandma and grandpa"
I see. So between grandparents on both sides she has a new vocabulary.
Oh and the answer to what it means? It means if you say it again you get a spanking....

Yes we all have to hear our kids say their first swear word...breaks my heart but it sure is funny!

That is mortifying! I dread the day my kids drop the f bomb. As much as their dad cusses around them daily, it's bound to happen. Lin is already parroting me when I say "crap." oh nooooooo.
And as to your snarkalar comment on me no longer blogging, you'd miss it so much you'd cry! :D
We had a traumatic run in with this word when The Princess was about three. On a trip, we were playing a rhyming game. "Car, car.....what rhymes with car?.....car, far" ( You get the idea) All of the sudden, she says "truck, truck....what rhymes with truck?" I don't have to tell you what came next! "They" say not to make a big deal about it, or the kids will want to say it again. Of course, that is easier said than done!
Yeah Jenn...thats when its going to happen. Kids pick up EVERYTHING. I curbed most of my cursing....but unless ironman does, it'll happen.
Crap is just the start.
